LA Fitness South Tampa - McCarthy has teamed with ARC3 Architecture for a two story 56,700 square feet LA Fitness Club in South Tampa that includes an adjacent four story 102,000+ square feet parking garage.

St. Anthony Hospital Parking Garage - McCarthy teams with Harvard Jolly Architects on a 7-level 273,322 square feet parking garage with elevated walkways.
July 2011 (Haiti) – McCarthy and Associates has been awarded the structural design of buildings in Port-a-Prince, Haiti to be used by the United Nations in the rebuilding of the country.

February 2011 (Pinellas County, FL) –
Public Safety Facilities and Centralized Communications Center - Pinellas County Commissioners have just awarded Harvard Jolly Architects with McCarthy and Associates teamed as the structural consultant for the Public Safety Facilities and Centralized Communications Center. The primary structures are to be hardened to PC3 and PC4 wind performance categories of approximately 230,000 square feet.
February 2011 (Seminole, FL) –
Seminole Public Works Operations and Administration
EOC Buildings - McCarthy teamed with Mason Blau Architects on a project for the City of Seminole. Both buildings were designed for Category 5 hurricanes. The Public Works Operations Building is only 1 of 5 buildings in the State of Florida to receive the honor of
LEED-Platinum and the Administration Building the
LEED-Gold recognition.
February 22, 2011 (Largo, FL) –
Pinch-a-Penny Pools - McCarthy and FleischmanGarcia Architects are awarded the 150,000 square feet Manufacturing Plant for Pinch-a-Penny Pools. Both firms are in the midst of construction for the Corporate Administration and Distribution Center tiltup buildings that will occupy more than 255,000 square feet.

Public Works Responders Building - McCarthy was the structural consultant on the newly dedicated $30 million Public Works Responders Building for Pinellas County, Florida. The building was designed for a Category 5 Hurricane winds and has been given a
LEED-Silver recognition.

The Strand at Clearwater Centre - McCarthy and Associates has been named the structural consultant for the latest re-development of Downtown Clearwater on this 15-story residential tower surrounded by parking, townhouses, retail and office totaling over 300,000 square feet.

Diversified Yacht Services – McCarthy has been named the structural consultant for a 7,262 sf Harbour Master Building having two elevated floors over
parking on grade and a 41,802 sf Yacht Service Building that has 69'4" clear height tiltup panels located in a FEMA V-zone.
January 1, 2010 (St. Petersburg, FL) –
Boca Ciega High School – McCarthy and Associates has teamed with Harvard Jolly Architects to finish the second phase project at Boca Ciega High School. The renovation of the gymnasium/auditorium and music buildings became a reality August 2009, with the rest of the $50,000,000 new "Green" facilities set for completion in January 2012.
January 1, 2010 (Clearwater, FL) – Mike McCarthy has been invited to join the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Committee 24, “Flood Resistant Design and Construction” as they rewrite the 2005 Edition of this National Standard.

GOYA Foods Warehouse – Our firm has joined with Rodriguez Pereira Architects in Miami on the GOYA Foods Warehouse. This is a precast double tee and tiltup one story 304,000 sf warehouse with an additional two story, 25,000 sf office building.

Hyundai Motor and KIA Motor Distribution Center – McCarthy has just completed design of a new 400,000 square feet distribution facility in Miami, Florida to service Hyundai Motor and KIA Motor in Latin America.
December 1, 2008 (Winter Garden, FL) –
Winter Garden Village – TCA has awarded McCarthy and Associates with the Tilt-Up Achievement Award for the outstanding use of tilt-up concrete construction for the Winter Garden Village project in Winter Garden, Florida. The project is an open air mall with over 210,000 square feet of retail shops.
July 7, 2008 (Bonita Springs, FL) –
Bonita Springs Retirement Village – McCarthy and Associates has been selected as the structural engineer for the new Bonita Springs Retirement Village in Bonita Springs, Florida. The project includes a 6 story independent living building with a 4 story assisted living building along with a one story commons building totaling approximately 400,000 sf. The project Architect is AG Architects of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.

Eckerd College – McCarthy has been retained as the lead firm for Hurricane Assessment Program under a FEMA Grant. This is a joint venture with nationally recognized hurricane and flood experts.
